Directions to Litchfield National Park
With a little planning, it’s easy to get to Litchfield National Park from anywhere in the world. Travellers that fly to Northern Territory can rent a car in Darwin (1.5 hours away) or Katherine (2.45 hours away). The public roads are maintained year-round.

Cars are welcomed in Litchfield National Park, and there's no parking fee. There is generally ample parking, however, in the dry season, it can get busy. So arrive early if you want one of these parking spots. Once you’re at the Park, we recommend that you leave the driving to us, with our efficient shuttle bus system that’ll get you everywhere you need to go. Driving from Darwin the road to Litchfield National Park is via the sealed road called the Stuart Highway.
Batchelor Road meets the Stuart Highway about 92km south from Darwin.
Then Batchelor Road winds into the township of Batchelor and from there you drive into Litchfield National Park on Litchfield Park Road.
It is also accessible during the Dry Season via Cox Peninsula Road, which has some unsealed sections, and the 4WD Reynolds Track from Daly River Road in the south.
